  3. This program requires VBRUN300.DLL. The original ZIP file DOES NOT contain
  4. this file. It is available free of charge from many online services. It is NOT
  5. compatible with VBRUN100.DLL or VBRUN200.DLL. The original ZIP file does
  6. contain THREED.VBX. This file is also required to run this program. Both of
  7. these files should be placed in the Windows\System directory, although they may
  8. be anywhere in your system's path or in the directory that holds Balloons.EXE
  9.

  14. NOTES TO PREVIOUS USERS:

  16. 1: The Ballloon.CGF may not be compatible with this version. If the
  17. configuration will not change then delete the Balloon.CGF file form your
  18. Balloons directory. It will created again for you, but you may need to reset
  19. your options.

  21. 2: This version INCLUDES the original lists (although some spelling corrections
  22. have been made. Additional lists can now be made, and these lists will be in
  23. addition to the existing lists. Take care to not overwrite any modified lists
  24. with the original lists included.

  39. Balloons phrase game is shareware. It may be used free of charge for a thirty
  40. day evaluation. After a thirty day trial, you must either  register the game
  41. or discontinue use. After the thirty day trial you may retain the game in a
  42. compressed un-playable format such as the original "ZIP" file. This game may
  43. be distributed freely as long as no charge is made for the distribution of
  44. this program or the associated files except for the cost of access to an
  45. on-line service during a download or the cost of a diskette containing the
  46. file not to exceed $5.00 except under written permission of the author.

  48. The registration fee is for one person only. In other words if you register
  49. this and you have a computer at home and at work that you want to play this
  50. game on, then you may use the registration key on both systems as long as the
  51. registered user is the actual user. You may not register this and use the
  52. registration for a friend's system. Your friend must pay their own
  53. registration fee.

  56. Balloons is a phrase game that has it's basis in the long loved favorite 
  57. "Hangman". What sets this game apart is the interface is MUCH more 
  58. entertaining. 3-D Buttons and text, bright balloons and stereo sounds
  59. replace the old stick figures. You start out with six balloons. If you get
  60. a letter wrong, it pops one of the balloons. If you get the phrase before
  61. all the balloons pop, then you win!

  63. You can play against a friend using your own phrases that you decide as you
  64. go, or let the computer generate random phrases from a category you choose.
  65. There are several categories to choose from, and each one has one hundred
  66. entries already entered. If you want to add, edit or even delete a phrase,
  67. you can through the included phrase editor, so you can customize the game to
  68. be phrases you want. You can set up easy lists for kids or complex lists for
  69. adults.

  109. * If you do not have a sound card or an internal speaker driver, I suggest you
  110. check your local BBS or other on-line service such as America Online, Delphi or
  111. Compuserve for the file Speak.EXE. This is a self expanding internal speaker
  112. driver.
  113. NOTE: Although an internal speaker can be used, the sound quality is limited,
  114. and usually stops your system while the WAV file plays.
